Monksville Reservoir (named for the town submerged)- Located near Monksville, New Jersey in the Long Pond Ironworks State Park, Monksville Reservoir (505 Acres) is known for its HUGE walleye, trout, bass, and muskellunge. It was completed in 1987 as part of the Wanaque South Project. Open 24 hours a day, the lake is used by the US Sailing Association, fisherman of all types, and various sporting clubs.
Species include Walleye, Black Crappie, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Muskie, rainbow Trout, and Chain Pickerel.
