Overnight accommodations, food, bait, tackle, etc. are available in the area. Project personnel are available to answer any questions and assist in assuring you a pleasant stay. Additional information and brochures both on Dierks Lake and other Corps projects in the area are available at the Dierks Project Office.

Visitors to Dierks Lake might want to take a day trip to some of the interesting sites around the Dierks area. One of the most interesting places is the Diamond Mines at Murfreesboro, Ark., only 30 miles from Dierks. A person can find a diamond and keep it. The diamond mine is the only one in the United States of its kind. Another enjoyable place to make a day visit to is Hot Springs National Park for shopping, horse racing, sightseeing, and a visit to the thermal baths. Others might want to visit the Eagletown/Broken Bow area and the Native American Museum and Monuments.

The Hope Watermelon Festival and the Home of President Clinton as well as the Jonquil Festival are held just down the road from Hope at Old Washington. DeQueen's Hoo RAY Days and Dierks’ own Pine Tree Festival, or a trip to Texarkana or Shreveport, La, can keep everyone entertained.
