as i was fishing on the L shaped dock/ boat ramp in front of my grandmothers house, i set my rod down to take a break and catch some blue- gill with another rod... big mistake. i saw my bobber start to take off but i thought it was only the small blue-gill, but as i soon found out it wasnt. no blue-gill snatches your pole into the water! after retrieving my pole from the water i started to reel the fish in, then i saw it jump out of the water, my heart began to race, the fish was huge! i finally reeled in the fish after about 5 minutes. when i got an official weight on the fish it weighed 6.65 lbs. my personal best at that lake. now believe it or not i used to live at that lake with my parents. if any one is readng this and went there during the 90s, you might remember a little boy that was always fishing at that L shaped dock. yeah that was me. it took me years to catch a fish that big there, but trust me there are way bigger fish in that lake, i give you my word.

It was my first time fishing this pond. I had spent the whole day on the pond and had caught many fish from small mouths to yellow perch to crappie and many others. Crank Baits work really good. Take some time off and fish this pond.

Comments:
Good summers every year, look for grassy areas where fish like to hide, throw occasional cheese bits in the water to attract the catfish. There you can find washed to shore crayfish, these are great baits to use for crappie, bass & blue gill. My weekend outing when your serious about catching and having a fun time esp. with the kids

Caught lots of coho in the early morning trolling the north shore just east of the mossyrock campgroud. Found them from 30 to 60 feet deep. Used a small silver dodger with a pink twinkle skirt hoochie about 24 inches back. Baited the hooks with yellow corn. Seems that they were hitting anything pink because poles with other colored lures were not getting any fish. Had lots of action and I didnt want to leave.
Largest Fish:
Coho, 0 Inches, lbs.
Comments:
Winds are fast in the morning blow from the northeast, so fish the north shore to avoid fighting the wind. The winds will change in the late morning and blow from the south, so cross the lake and fish the south shore until the skiers come out.
